Joe and Diane: You both did a wonderful job of caring for "Ain't Ellie." who got a kick out of my Tennesseanisms We used to burn up the LD minutes, she and I. It was always comforting to know someone else in the family shared the genes of lost time and direction...both of us prodded for being SLOW.
We were blessed with lovely weather for the funeral, and the service was perfect. All of them were smiling down on us, you know: Grammy, Nell, Eleanor, Mama....your father.
They are not gone; we hold them in our hearts forever. Pray the coming days bring you peace and calm. Love Always.

I was in the room with Ms. Eleanor at Carriage Hill Rehab for 3 weeks with a knee replacement. She moved into my room after a couple of days. It was a joy to have her. She was so sweet, had a lot of humor. My daughter adopted her for her grandmother. We had already made plans to go see her when I got over my surgery at her home or Carriage Hills. She was a precious lady and we fell in love with her. You have our condolences. She often talked about her son and family. She loved you very much. God bless you.

Joey, Jennifer, and everyone,
I was very sad to see this in the paper this morning. Eleanor and Joe were such a pair and I know they are happy to be together again! She was a funny wonderful person who always made room for me in the family back when I lived in Aiken. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love,
Cindy, Jon, Lindsey, and Peyton
