A memorial service for Mr. Charles ?Charlie? Edwin Guinn will be held Monday, October 24, 2005 at 2 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC, with Buddy Brinkley officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Guinn, 76, of Aiken, SC, better known has ?Charlie? to his family and many friends, went to his Father in Heaven, Monday, afternoon, October 17, 2005. Born in West Point, TN, the only child of the late Russell and Ellen Story Guinn, he had been a resident of Aiken since 1950 and retired from E.I. DuPont in 1983 after thirty-three years of service as an E & I Mechanic. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Marcia Craddock Bacon Guinn, a son, Charles Ronald Guinn, Marilyn Aiken, SC; daughters, Barbara L. Edwards, James Sevierville, TN, and Katherine E. Kaney, Chris Modoc, SC; step-sons, Roger DeVore, Margaret Longwood, FL, William S. DeVore, Barbara Martinez, GA and Glen E. Bacon, Amanda Ft. Myers, FL, Lt. Cmdr. Craig R. Bacon, Tarita Chesapeake, VA, and Gary W. Bacon, Donna Warrenville, SC; step-daughters, Janice D. Robinson, OH, and Wilda B. Guyton, Aiken, SC; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, sixteen step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. The family has asked that memorials in Charlie?s memory be made to Southern Care Hospice, 35-A Varden Dr., Aiken, SC 29803 or the charity of choice.
