Katherine Rae Templeton, 64, of Aiken, died Sunday, April 15, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, April 19, 2012, at George Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue SW, Aiken, officiated by Rev. Keith Ussery. Katherine was born in Galesburg, Illinois and was a daughter of Dorothy Morton Templeton and the late A.G. "Bud" Templeton. Mrs. Templeton was a 1966 graduate of Knoxville, Illinois, High School and later graduated from the Nursing School at Cottage Hospital. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls and enjoyed gardening and working in the yard. Katherine worked as a nurse at Aiken Regional Medical Center in the Wound Care Center and was a volunteer at the SPCA. She was a very thoughtful person of other people. Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Morton Templeton of the home and many cherished pets. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA, 401 Wire Rd., Aiken, SC 29801.
