Mary, Maggie and all,
I am so sorry for your loss. Although I only met Kay briefly at Mary and Dan's wedding I'm so pleased I had the chance to do so. We shared a birthday, a laugh and a drink that night and I immediately knew I'd met someone special. Kay's legacy will live on in the wonderful children she raised.

Mere words can never express the heartfelt sympathy we felt for your loss. Too soon after our loss and what a shock when JD called after seeing Kay at my Mothers funeral only a week ago. Mom
I will miss "hennie" is it time for a cocktail yet. Just make me a wee one, and we would have a couple wee drinks. We would sit outside on my patio and talk about everything. I have so many fond memories of Mrs. Pickett. Traveling to Scotland & staying with "Uncle Jim & Aunt Helen." The food, the pubs, the laughs. Going to Toronto & staying with "Aunt Margaret & Uncle Lino." Putting up with all our Cathy & myself antics & late nights early mornings. Always concerned. "I was worried about you two." And of course "Would you like a cup of tea?" She was a fine lady & raised 7 kind, wonderful children. She will be missed. She is with her beautiful Cathy now, who I think about daily & miss so much. Peace & Prayers to all of you.

We met Kay during her visits with Mike and Sergio and the boys when they lived in Findlay, OH. We always looked forward to her visits, as she was a wonderful and special lady.

To the Pickett Family and friends; I had the honor and privilege to meet Catherine Pickett during my weekly visits and sleep overs at Margaret's house. I will forever remember Catherine's Scottish accent when she would call Margaret "Maggie" from another room. During that moment my mind would wander, wondering if I was actually in Scotland. I found Catherine to be an extremely lovely lady, very thoughtful and kind,not only to her family but to their friends as well. What a risk taker Catherine had to be, traveling across the world at a young age during such a difficult time. To have the courage and committment to marry an American Navy Solider, knowing she would travel the world and at the same time raise 7 children. What an incredible life she lived and what an amazing legacy she leaves behind. I will miss Catherine. I am comforted in knowing that I am friends with her daughter and family. The Pickett Family is some of the nicest and friendliest people I have ever met! May Catherine's spirit be only a whisper away and may her memories comfort you until you meet again.
