Dear Hazel,
just today I decided to see if I could locate you and Pete thru the internet. I remember when you moved from Costa Del Sol you were going to the West Coast of Florida. But until today, I was not able to locate any information on either of you. I'm sorry to hear of Pete's passing. He was an incredibly funny and caring person. Both me and my wife Kathy were lucky to enjoy so many good times with the both of you at the clubhouse and that funky German restaurant "the Old Vienna". I pray that you are doing well.
Love,
Carlos and Kathy

Hazel & Family,
I'm sorry I can't be with you today in SC for Pete's services - but we all have you in our hearts and minds. Pete was such a great colleague and friend. While we will always miss his exceptional professionalism and abilities as an accomplished polygrapher and investigator, we will miss even more his great humor and friendship. So many stories over cocktails, so many impersonations, so much fun, so much laughter - what we all do have, and will always have and cherish are the memories ... Peace be with you

God Took Him To His Loving Home
"God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be.
He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me.’
He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend.
He faced his pain with courage, until the very end.
He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain,
God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain."
Uncle Pete!: I love you and I miss you. The time of knowing you was very short but from my dads stories, it felt like i have known you forever. The memories i have of you will live on in my heart for the rest of my life.Have a safe journey!Love Your Niece!
Aunt Hazel: The time was short but yet amazing. His Spirit lives on through all of us, especially you. I love you Aunt Haze. Stay Strong.

Our hearts are heavy, although we know you are in a better place; at peace and free of pain. You remain a dear, dear friend. The many hours we spent together always included stories, told and retold, laughter until our sides hurt. Your zest for living each day to it's fullest never waned. But most of all we will remember your incredible love affair with Hazel, the devotion and dedication to each other remains an inspiration to all who were lucky enough to know you. You will be missed, but never forgotten.

Hazel, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will always remember Pete for the very special man he was, he sure could make me laugh! I was just telling the story about when he gave me a polygraph and asked me if I was a drinker, I told him I just came off a cruise and I drank everyday that week. We sure laugh about that for years, he always asked me how much did you drink today.
Love Margie

Like I recently said in a letter, to know Pete is to love Pete. Memories are a wonderful gift and we all have them of Pete's laughter, his humor and for me it's his famous mocking of other friends lets say. Thinking of you two make me smile, as you both are special blessings to everyone. My prayers are with you and your family during this time.

Hazel,
Jim and I are devastated to hear of Pete's passing. That you two, each unique and fascinating people, had found each other in this world was a blessing. We pray for your strength in the hard days to come, and hope you reflect on the many wonderful memories you have of Pete. Knowing Pete, he's probably volunteering to assist his namesake, St. Pete, at the gate this very minute to improve the system. We love you.

Hazel,
Pete and you have always held a special place in our hearts. It is not diminished with Pete's passing. It is filled even more with the fond memories of the times we shared. Pete's raucus laugh, his sense of humor cannot ever be forgotten. Nor your humor and the strength that you have shown throughout these many years. You, dear sweet friend, are an example for all of us when we get to feeling sorry for ourselves. We have been truly blessed to know you and Pete.
We're sure the thunder in heaven is going to be louder from now on, so it can overpower that booming voice and laugh that the Angels in Heaven are sure to hear.
Pete is resting in peace in God's loving arms and Suzie and I are holding you in our arms, even if you can't see us.
All our love.
