Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Richardson Hay will be held Friday, July 26, 2002 at 4 PM at Town Creek Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with Revs. David Pohto, Brancie Stephens, and Jim Warren officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Stanley Nield Hay, III, Ron Ellis, W. Alan Hay, III, Larry Smith, Wayne Smith, Calvin Richardson, Charles Richardson, and Cecil Moore. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 25, 2002 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Hay, 84, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late Stanley N. Hay, Sr., died Wednesday, afternoon, July 24, 2002 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken, SC, she was a daughter of the late James Calvin Richardson and the late Hannah Goodwin Richardson. A lifelong member of Town Creek Baptist Church and the church choir, she was a former Sunday school Teacher and Director, W.M.U. Director, and Training Union Director Sons, James Hatley Hay, Stanley Nield Hay, Jr., and William Alan Hay, all of Aiken, SC; a daughter, Helen Hay Freiday, St. Petersburg, FL; brother, Lloyd G. Richardson, Aiken, SC; sisters, Dorothy Mulvihill, Aiken, SC, Zelma Smith, Aiken, SC, and Helen Roberts, Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Ronald Smith Ellis, Sheila Martin, Stanley Nield Hay, III, Kimberly Brinson, William Alan Hay, III, and Melanie Leopard, and six great-grandchildren, survive.
