Carrie Frances Newman Carleton, 84, of Aiken, died Tuesday, June 05, 2012, after an illness. The family will be receiving family and friends on Saturday, June 9, 2012, from 2-4PM, at the home of her daughter. Born in Notasulga, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Doris Coan Newman. Mrs. Carleton was a member of Aiken First Presbyterian Church. She was a former secretary at Foreman Memorial Baptist Church in New Ellenton and was a retired secretary from USC-Aiken. Survivors include: her son, Jesse M. Carleton Cynthia K. Taylor of Augusta; a daughter, Rae C. Guy William E. of Trenton; grandchildren, Justin E. Guy, Julie, Jessica, Jennifer and David Carlton; a four great-grandchildren.
