Funeral services for Thomas ?Tab? Anthony Barrett will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken with Pastor Phillip Lee officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be tonight from 7-9pm at the funeral home. Tab, 41, of Aiken died, Saturday, August 12, 2006 from injuries sustained in an accident. A son of Emogene Smart Barrett and the late Jewell Barrett, he was born in Cairo, GA and has lived in many communities during his life. Tab was employed as an engineering manager at Allied Air, Blackville, SC. He has worked as a quality control manager for Western Forge, in Murphy, NC. Before moving to Aiken earlier this year, he with his family lived in Young Harris, GA. Tab earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC where he was a brother of Sigma Pi Epsilon fraternity. Tab loved to spend time with his family playing golf and riding mountain bikes. In addition to his mother and brother Tim Barrett both of Hayesville, NC. Tab is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Karen Cato Barrett; and sons, Tyler Barrett, Tanner Barrett, all of Aiken. In lieu of flowers donations can be made, at any First Citizens Bank, to the Tyler & Tanner Barrett trust fund.
