Michael J Morrison Sr. of Aiken, age 76, passed away peacefully with family at his side, on Monday the 26th of May 2014. He was born to William and Beatrice (Barklow) Morrison on July 22nd 1937 in Faribault MN. He married Mary Elizabeth Bisanz on July 13th 1963 in St. Paul MN. He received a BS in Chemistry and Biology from St Mary's College in Winona MN in 1959. Mike played trumpet in the collegiate swing band The Meri Notes. He began his career with Pillsbury as a Food Technologist and proceeded to stay in the food industry throughout his career working for Krause Milling, Diamond Crystal and finally as an Executive Food Recruiter with his own company Agro Business Services. He was an enthusiastic golfer, never missed Sunday mass, and was known to his friends as a good cook, and teller of jokes. Mike was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Aiken, sister Marge Lee (Stuart FL), Daughters: Mary Morrison of Brooklyn Park MN, Julie (Jeff) Curtis of Rogers, MN, Son: Mike Jr (Kellye Bruce) of Los Angeles, CA. He had four grandchildren Nathan and Jamie Dupree, and Jack and Samantha Curtis.
A wake will be held from 6-8 on Friday the 30th at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME (211 Park Ave SW Aiken, SC 29801 803-649-6234). In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Molly's Militia (Dog Rescue) at mollysmilitia.org or PO Box 6816 North Augusta SC 29861 or to your local hospice care facility.
