I was shocked to learn that Christie had passed away. She was a best friend you have as a kid that you assume you'll always know.I have many memories of spending at her house, the pizza parties with the pizza her Mom made. Whose recipe we still use today; swimming at Cool Pool, watching her color TV her Dad built. They had the first in the neighborhod. I could go on and on.
She was in my wedding and I just always thought we would get in touch again some day, she would be the friend that we would just pick up where we left off no matter how much time had passed. My sister and I would talk about our days on Pritz and Eva Streets and wonder what Christie was doing. Some how we all lost touch with her. My sister Cathy would google Christie occasionally to see if we could locate her--that's how she found the obit.I'm very sorry for your loss, those of us who knew and cared about her in Ohio will always remember her. We will try to post pictures of Christie on Facebook of our Pritz Ave days.

I am very saddened by the news of Christie's death. She will be very much missed even though she has been away from us. We had such good times in high school and college. May God Bless you and keep you Christie! Look for my mom up there.

I was very saddened to run across this obit. Christie as we knew her then was a childhood friend of my sister Shirley and I. We were across the alley neighbors who met Christie when we were 8 or so and spent summers swimming, playing croquet, tennis, riding our bikes and just having a great time together. We kept in touch through her UD years and had many adventures with Tom, Bob, Doug, Mike, Jeff, Mari and I. I'm sorry we didn't keep in touch over the years. I guess time, distance and circumstances get in the way but we always wondered where Christie was. I'll sadly pass this on to those who knew her here. It sounds like Christiie was successful and had a great life. I know we won't forget her.

We will miss you always and keep you in our hearts to never forget you.
You will always be the great person with many qualities and a loving, caring teacher. Enrique always said you were a very special person, now you're gone and I feel an emptiness in my heart. You will always be like a sister and part of my family . Now God will be much closer with you.

If you could hear my heart today, you would know how empty I feel.
We visit you in our thoughts and prayers, but that does not seem to be enough, sadness is dwelling in us, and our days are not good.
Your life was truly precious, you walked through life with an open palm, helping those in need and offering your help where needed. You were an amazing person to everyone you touched and I know god's light is shining on you.
We will remember that you are always here, and that your spirit is with us. You are the tears that trickle, softly down my cheek that will help me get through the hard times, when I feel all is hopeless. You are the sound I will hear in the quiet autumn night, reminding me that you are not far away.
You will be the reason for my smile when I think of all those good times we've shared throughout the years. Still, of all the days I've lived, and all the times I have cried, nothing has been harder, than living through that day you left us.

Christie, my sister and friend. Words can not do justice to express how heavy my heart feels right now. We will always have our dear memories of California and Florida. You were there for me when Earl was dying and I will be eternally grateful for that. Tasha, Cassie, and Justin will miss their godmother and "her wisdom" about life's ups and downs. I feel your spirit and love around me. I can just imagine the conversations you and Earl will be having now! I love and miss you dear sister, but I know you are at peace now.
