I was so saddened to hear about your fathers's passing. Bill was such a good and caring friend for my mom, Carolyn Sedell. We all enjoyed his company. Bill was always smiling and upbeat. I joined them a few times after mass at the Ihop for breakfast.
He will be missed.

Dear Pat,
Your Dad was a great man and always a pleasure to be with. When I was a young engineer at out the Savannah River Plant, your dad worked in the motor shop in the next building. He was a true craftsman. Mr. Bockhold was one of about 4 men they would let work on the big motors. Some of these motors were 5 to 6 feet in diameter, 8-10 feet long and were rated at 3500 - 4000 horsepower. He could rewind the armature and stators. This is a lost skill.
As a young engineer, I would go over to the shop. Mr. Bockhold would show me around, teach me what they were doing and generally make me welcome. I learned a lot from your Dad.
Above all, I want you to know that your father was a true Catholic gentleman. I thought highly of him and was proud to know him. I will miss him.
I am sorry for your loss.

I knew Bill from my Mom, Carolyn Sedell. He was such a sweet soul, always smiling. Mom sure thought a lot of him and missed him so much when she had to move to Mt. Pleasant. I feel blessed to have known him, but I know now heaven is blessed to have him there in the loving arms of Jesus.
Much love and sympathy your way,
Leslie Soutiere
