Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Belle Crossman Harris will be held at a later date in the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Cape May, NJ. Mrs. Harris, 84, of Aiken, SC, and formerly of Cape May, NJ, died Saturday night, June 5, 2004 at Shadow Oaks Assisted Living, Aiken, SC. Born in Smethport, PA, a daughter of the late Paul S. and Margaret Seitz Crossman, she was a graduate of Penn State University, where she was a member of and former advisor to the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, was a member of Cold Springs Presbyterian Church, the Cape May Cottagers Association, Meadville Garden Club, and was a homemaker. Following the death of her husband of sixty years, Henry M.T. Harris, in 2002, she relocated to Aiken, SC to be closer to her children. A son, Sandy Harris, Wagener, SC; daughters, Mary Ann Dunn, Aiken, SC, and Nancy Lee Treumann, Highland, NY; brother, Paul Crossman, Girard, PA and sister, Janet Davis, Lake City, PA; and grandchildren, Shawn Harris, Ashley Greene, Sara Treumann, Lindsay, Emily, and John Dunn, survive. The family has asked that memorials in memory of Mrs. Harris be made to the Alzheimer?s Association, c/o the Council on Aging, P.O. Box 3156, Aiken, SC 29802.
