I worked with Bill at Unitrin for nearly 20 years and cherish my memories of him. I never worked with a finer man and learned a lot from him. His infectious laugh could warm an entire room of people. We continued our lively discussions about life, politics, faith and other topics regularly after his retirement. Bill, I miss you already! God's strength and peace to Cindy and the family.

I am so sorry for your loss, and it is truly all of our loss. Bill was such an inspiration to many and me in particular. I feel very fortunate to have had the benefit of his advice and counsel for so many years. If the measure of a man is the lasting impact he has on those around him, then Bill truly was a great man. A part of him is still here in the way those he influenced conduct themselves everyday. Thank you for sharing him.

WE will miss you Bill, your kind smile, your insightful conversation, your hearty laugh. You were a friend, and we had many talks about being neighbors, which never came to pass. The last time I saw you we didn't say much, but then again we didn't need to. May the Lord bless you and keep you and be gracious until you.

Cindy,
I am so saddened about Bill's passing. Over the 25 years I worked for him he provided his staff and myself with professional guidance and mentoring. He would also kick you in the butt when you needed it most. I am who I am today because of a few special people in my life and Bill is certainly one of them. I will truly miss him.

Cindy - So sorry for your loss. Bill was a wonderful friend and Colleague. We worked together for 15 plus years going all the way back to the facility on Bundy. Lot's of wonderful memories of time spent with Bill. Bill's ethics were above question. Bill always did the right thing. His advice and insight covered so much more than data systems. I will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Whaley Family. I only knew Bill for a short time while we room together at Anchor Rehab. During that time we enjoyed talking about his time in the Marines and my time in the Army, especially our Vietnam service.
He was a great person and a true patriot.

Bill was an outstanding leader who told it like it was. I still find myself thinking "what would Bill say" when up against a wall at work. Beyond being a boss, he was a caring individual who always talked about family and making time for those you hold near and dear. His presence was larger than life and he could light up a room with his smile and his laugh.
Cindy - Our condolences to you and the entire family...you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughs and prayers go out to you, Cindy. I John worked both with and for Bill for many years. During that time, I got to travel with him a lot. That gave me the opportunity to get to know him a lot more. I will cherish many of the memories of those times. He made everyone around him better. His sense of humor and outgoing personality will always be remembered, as will his love for his family.
Semper Fi, Bill.

Cindy,
My sympathy to you on the loss of your husband. So thankful you invited me to visit last year. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. Bill was probably the most successful of the Whaley family and is greatly admired. I will miss his phone calls and cheery smile.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others stay awhile, make footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same. We will forever miss Bill as he was a very special man indeed.

It was barely over a year ago that we all gathered together and listened to Bill give a very passionate and loving eulogy for his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Porter. He was so proud to be a member of Cindy and Karen's family. Bill was a very compassionate man. Even though Bill had just received the news of the seriousness of his own illness, he was one of the first people to call Jerry inquiring how he was getting along after his recent revision hip replacement surgery. That was the kind of man Bill was. A former Marine; an executive in business; well traveled; well read; a problem solver; and as I have mentioned a very charitable and generous man especially for those he cared about. He provided for his elderly mother, Gracealyn, aka "GiGi", who lives here in Aiken and who proudly tells anyone she speaks to that she will soon turn 94 years old.
We will miss this good kind and gentle man known as William/Bill/Ronnie Whaley. May you rest in peace.
