Margaret would have been sooo proud of the beautiful celebration of her life. Hamilton's message was so upbeat and she knew it would be just that. It was wonderful to see all of you. Every time I look at her smile, I keep saying my thanks that she was a part of our lives. Grayson's upcoming wedding will have her there in spirit. I pray that God gives all of you peace (and some of the joy that she showed us) in the days to come.

Margaret was a treasure in the school library world! I met her in my early years as an elementary librarian; she amazed me year after year, visiting me, planning surprises for us, and remembering everything I ever told her, whether it was about books or our families. She loved talking to the students who would always wander close as I perused the books she'd brought by. Once she disappeared out to her car, and returned with a book she gave to a 3rd grade boy. They had gotten into a conversation about rodeos, and she happened to have just the thing for him. Vivacious, caring, and fun! She will be missed!

I met Margaret through her job at Gumdrop books. But, she was so much more than a lady selling me books. She became my friend. She watched my son grow up. On one of her visits, she stayed for hours with me so she could see him receive a Science Fair award. She always brought him a book. She even brought my husband art books as he teaches art. She helped me get a job at a school closer to home. She and I had many phone conversations through the years just to "catch up".
Margaret's love for you all, her family, was so apparent in the way she talked about you. Her eyes would just light up when she shared a story about you. I know your hearts are heavy. Keep the wonderful memories you have close to your heart during this time. They will help. I'll keep you in my prayers.
She was truly one-of-a-kind. I loved her and will miss her.

Words cannot begin to tell you how much this sweet lady meant to me. Parkway South will not be the same without her and I will never pass by No. 1 and not think of her. She brought so much joy to me when I moved here and I will never forget how kind and gracious she was to me. What a loss, not only for her family but for me as well -- I will miss her so much, but she will forever live in my heart! Not only did I love my friend Margaret, but my grandchildren adored her as well, and she loved them too. They are so saddened they won't see her the next time they come to PS, cause if they didn't go to her house -- she came over to No. 2 to see them. What a treasure she was!

Dear Mark,Teresa, Beth, Don and Grandchildren,
"Our Margaret" was one of a kind. We roomed together when working at World Book (and became close friends). We talked all night and most of it was about how much she loved all of you. She had to tell me what each and every one of you were doing (even sent the boys up to spend the night with us)! We loved it. No matter the mood, when that big smile and those perky eyes bounced into the room, joy followed. Our Jill, Chase and Chelsea thought she was their grandmother, too. To know her was to love her and we will miss her so much. She will be forever young in our hearts. Somehow, (in our minds) she probably will still be "bossing all of us around" in the days to come!
Our hearts hurt with yours at her loss, but aren't we all lucky to have known the love.
