Obituary of Heather Marie Cassidy

Heather Marie Cassidy, 18, of Aiken, died Friday March 4, 2005 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers following a brief illness. She was born May 30, 1986 at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Washington and was the daughter of G. Timothy and Rosemarie Brown Cassidy, Aiken.
Heather was a 2004 graduate of Aiken High School and was a member of the band and the National Junior ROTC program at high school. She was also active with the Explorer Post in Aiken. Prior to moving to South Carolina in 2001, she lived in Wiesbaden, Germany and attended high school there. While in high school in Germany, Heather was a member of the marching band, was a member of the swim and track teams and was the manager of the wrestling team. In addition, she was Girl Scout and had earned her Silver Star. She was currently enrolled at Aiken Technical College, pre-dental hygienist program and worked part time at Tractor Supply on Whiskey Rd.
In addition to her parents, Heather is survived by one sister, Nicole Cassidy and one brother, Timothy Seamus Cassidy, her fiancé, Dustin Blair of Aiken, her maternal grandmother, Rose Knechel of Aiken, her paternal grandmother, Doris R. ?Dot? Cassidy of Bridgeton, NJ, aunts and uncles on the Brown side of the family, including, Bobby Brown Sr. and wife Cynthia of Cookeville, TN, Pansy L. Brown of Allens, TN, Elsie L. Brown and Thomas Brown both of NJ, Bradford Brown of PA, Linda Cramer and Susan Vogel both of NJ and their children, Bobby Brown Jr., Angie, Doreen and Colleen Bown and Holly Kerpew. Heather is also survived an aunt and uncle on the Cassidy side of the family, Vanessa A. Cassidy and Jeffery W. Cassidy Sr., both of Bridgeton, NJ and their children, Amanda Arnold, Jeffery Jr., Joshua and Micah Cassidy, several great aunts and great uncles in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and her West Highland Terrier, Molly. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, George Cassidy on February 12, 2005 and her maternal grandfather, Truman Brown in 1987.
A memorial service will be held Monday evening March 7th at 7:00 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2724 Whiskey Road in Aiken.
A visitation will be held Thursday March 10th and ceremony on March 11th in Bridgeton, NJ under the direction of the Freitag Funeral Home of Bridgeton.
The interment will be made at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Township, NJ.
