A memorial service for Mr. Cecil Ernest Boyd will be held Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 11 AM at his residence.
Mr. Boyd, 77, of Aiken, SC, died Monday, morning, December 13, 2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Born in Aiken County, SC, a son of the late Everette and Bonnie Boyd, he retried after thirty years of service from the Aiken County School District as a Heating and Maintenance Supervisor. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War where he obtained the rank of Sergeant.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Frances Goss Boyd, Aiken, SC; son, Cecil Ernest ?Ernie? Boyd, Jr., Aiken, SC; sisters, Linda Boone and Sylvia Powell, both of New Ellenton, SC; and brothers, Eddie Boyd, North Augusta, SC and Gerald Boyd, Palatka, FL.
The family has asked that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 1003 Hammond Rd., Aiken, SC 29803
