Dear Ms. Boyd that\'s how I\'ll always remember you and Ernie,
Ms. Boyd used to watch me during the day. In the morning, I would sit in what I remember as Cecil\'s recliner and watch Captain Kangaroo and Mister Rogers. Ms. Boyd would offer me "orange juice or coffee" to drink. OJ was the drink of choice. I also remember taking naps and getting Ernie from school. Also, the time that I almost choked on a piece of butterscotch candy while riding in the backseat of the car. Ms. Boyd pulled off to the side of the road, pulled me up by my ankles and "wacked" me on the back. The piece of hard candy flew out of my mouth and I was fine. To this day, I never eat a piece of butterscotch candy without thinking of that day. I remember the cotton candy machine, the swingset in the backyard and the time that Ernie grabbed the end of a cigarette while we were out at night catching fireflies.
I think Ms. Boyd introduced me to graham crackers and milk mixed together in a glass but I\'m not 100% sure. Either way, I eat graham crackers that way now and will pass that down to my kids. I was around 5 or 6 years old but the memories of you and your family are very vivid to me. Now that I have two children of my own, I truly appreciate the time you took with me to keep me busy and to keep me safe.
I pray that God will keep you close to Him during this difficult time in your lives. What a long marriage you and Cecil had together ---may your happy memories keep you smiling.

Dear Frances and Ernie,
We haven\'t spoken in many years, but I was your neighbor on East Boundary and Frances was so good to keep my daughter, Lisa, while I worked. I\'m sorry about the loss of Cecil. You all were so special to us and we haven\'t forgotten -- just went separate ways. We will keep you in our prayers.
