Mrs. Charlotte S. Laramore, 99, of Aiken, died Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A celebration of life gathering will be announced at a later date for family and friends. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken, is in charge of arrangements.
A daughter of the late George W. Schminke and Charlotte Meyer Schminke, she was born on May 31, 1913 in Chicago Heights, Illinois. She graduated from Bloom Township High School and attended the University of Illinois where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority.
Following her marriage, she lived for twenty years in Knox, Indiana, and then, in 1954, she moved to Bethesda, Maryland, when her husband, The Honorable Don N. Laramore was appointed a judge to the U. S. Court of Claims in Washington, DC.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, who died in 1989.
She is survived by a daughter, Dee Laramore, Aiken; a brother, Walter Schminke, (Corinne) of San Clemente, CA; a cousin, Raymond Meyer, (Joan), of Naperville, IL and two nieces and two nephews.
