Funeral services for Dr. Lorenzo Mario Polizzi will be private. The family will greet friends Tuesday, January 4, 2005 from 4:30-6:30 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Dr. Polizzi passed away Saturday, January 1, 2005 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon, his dear daughter Natalie Murphy, and grandchildren Joshua and Conner Murphy, his cherished sister Maria Luisa Rem Picci, his nephew Andrea Rem Picci and friend and brother-in -law Danilo Rem Picci. He will be greatly missed by his step-children Jeremy Haynes, Rick Haynes, and Jennifer Golden and their children, Caitlin, Ryan, Lindsay and Blake Golden and Alexis Haynes. He took his Doctorate from the University of Rome, at the school of Nuclear Engineering. He became a proud American citizen in 1973. He was respected in his field for his knowledge and dedication to hard work. His two greatest pleasures were photography and gardening.
