Mrs. Diane Louise Scherer, 66, of Aiken, beloved wife of Dennis L. Scherer, died Saturday, September 29, 2012, at her residence following an illness. Born in Flint, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Lawson and Ora Garrett Powers. A resident of Aiken for 21 years, she was a retired Legal Secretary at Harlow Law Firm. In addition to her husband, Dennis, Mrs. Scherer is survived by her son, Denny Scherer of Aiken and a brother, Jack Powers Carol of Lansing, Michigan. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Cedar Creek Church, Banks Mill Campus, officiated by Pastor Phillip Lee.
