Thinking of you all, and celebrating the inspiring life of Uncle Lacey. There was never a better storyteller. I can hear his laugh now. Wish I were there to exchange hugs.

What a man! What a man! And what a celebration of life. He lived every drop of it. The man knew how to live - for Jesus, for family, for fishing and for fun along the way. He'd want us all to wipe away tears and go fishing in his honor and
teach the younguns to catch the big-uns. Tell some good'uns while we're trolling. Then come on home and chase away the cats and fry 'em along with the hushpuppies...out in the brooder house, giving everybody a paper plate to pile your bones on. But I don't think he'd care if you wiped your messy face on your shirtsleeve. He'd still let us churn some ice cream! He taught me so much: If you don't catch 'em today, there's always tomorrow and the next fishing trip. If it ain't fun, whatcha doing it for? Stand tall and always make your mama proud! Don't cost no more to be kind.
I think he was like Will Rogers..."never met a man he didn't like" and we can sure turn that around 'n say I never heard of anyone who didn't LOVE Uncle Lacey! To know him was to love him.
He's sure a big part in my
heart and will always pick me up to think of him - him and that big grin. He could "pull my leg" every time... catch me in the punchline!!
"See you when I get there, Uncle
Lacey. Give Aunt Lois and my Mama
a hug. You won this ballgame of life down here. Now charm 'em up
there!"
P.S. I love you and I'll be
praying for all the family to keep
a chin up when they hurt so bad from missing you. Thanks for the memories. I know we can all say that our lives have been richer, fuller
'cause we got to know you. You left this world much nicer by being here.
Family, I'm with you all in spirit.

Rodney, Bruce, Wallace and family: Mrs. Mary Willis told us recently that your father was very ill. The news of his passing is sad, but there is also joy in the news because Mr. Boatwright served the Lord God so faithfully and he is already enjoying the presence of the Father in a way he never could on earth.
Please know that the McCoy girls remember your dad fondly. We are trusting Christ Jesus to sustain you as you greive the loss of a great dad, father-in-law, grand father, and great-grand father. As Proverbs 28:20 says, "A faithful man will abound with blessings." Mr. Boatwright leaves behind a multitude of blessings in his legacy to his family and friends.
We care, though from a distance.

To all the Boatwright family, I was saddened to see Mr. Boatwright's name in the paper today and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I only got to be around him a few times but my son Eric had the fortunate opportunity to spend time with him and Mrs. Boatwright when he was young and Lisa took care of him. I remember how much he enjoyed when they went over there and know he has some great memories that he won't ever forget. And to Lisa, I know we have kinda lost touch over the years again, but I want you to know that you are and will always be in my heart and my friend and I will always be here if you need me, only a phone call away. I know all of you can take some comfort in knowing that he is back with his wife and he is in a much better place.

To the Boatwright brothers and your
families,
It is sad to loose a precious parent. We have also lost both of ours. The peace we get is knowing they served Almighty God. During this time of grief and loss, please
know, your old friends from way back are praying for all of you.
May God touch each of you in a special way and give you the peace you need to carry on.
