We are very sorry about the loss of your Mother. I think that she lived a very full and fortunate life. It is a very difficult thing to loose one's Mother as Andy and I both know and understand. Our deepest sympathy to you.

Grandma was a strong woman with a quiet strength. I've never known her to judge, brag, or gossip. She truly gave herself to those around her, and I will always remember her as generous and kind.

She was a truely amazing person and grandparent. She never complained about the life she was given or the hardships she endured. When I would ask her to tell me about how hard the depression was or what she had gone through, she would only say "We ate a lot of potatoes. We got by." She had a wonderful love for those around her and a great strength of will. She did her best to spoil her grandchildren a favorite of mine. I miss her already.

I will always remember Grandma as the best cinnamon roll baker on earth. She was a strong woman with a warm smile. She was a wife, a mother, a cook, a baker, a farmer, a fisherman, a card player, a gardener...she was all of these things and so much more...I will miss her.

I remember mother as a most dedicated and hardworking woman. Mother was ready with a tasty, wholesome "spread"...be it family or thrashing crew: The afternoon lunches delivered as scheduled at 4 PM. Mother canning and freezing vegetables, churning butter, baking bread and Rolls; even making Lye soap. Mother cleaned, and cleaned...when she was at it...stay out of the way!
She bought "7 Up" when I had the flu.
She tended my children when their mother was indisposed.
I seldom heard a complaint or the taint of gossip. Mother enjoyed family occasions and especially her sister Midge. She was accepting and gracious.
May she rest in peace.
