Funeral services for Mary Anne Jackson, 73, of Aiken, will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 30, 2012 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Guisti, Julian Lockwood, Jeff Gracey, John Vaughn, George Tice and Malik Gardner. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Mrs. Jackson passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at University Hospital following an illness. Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Hosea & Elizabeth Frady Chandler. She was a lifetime resident of Aiken and was a member of St. Mary Help of Christian's Catholic Church. Mrs. Jackson was retired from DHEC after 30 years of service to the state of SC. She was an avid supporter of Salesian Missions & St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Surviving are her daughters, Beverly Jackson and Sandra Elizabeth Jackson, both of Aiken; a son, Jonathan Otis Jackson of Aiken and a granddaughter, Chloe Jackson of Aiken. Memorials may be made to the SPCA.
