My heart broke when I opened the Aiken Paper to see "JimBobs" name. I thought so much of Jim, such a great man, such a great spirit! I am saddened to lose such a dear friend.
Miss Irene....he loved you so,know his arms were open at the sight of seeing his daughter waiting in heaven for him!!!....Angie....girl...your Pawpaw was so proud of you!! He bragged about you all the time. Many hours sitting and talking at Gorham, I learned of his life, his family and how much he loved everyone!
Do you remember the tape of his graduation class he could not attend because he was sick Oh, how I cried, when I viewed it!
I am still in awe of Jim, serving his country at such a young age, and all these years later, still flying his flag! So proud to be an American!
I will miss my friend....
From my heart to yours...
Tammy Burgess

Papaw,
Thank you for being the father I never had. You were there for all the important milestones and all the trials
in my life up to this point. I wish you could see me become someone you would be proud of.
You taught me so much about life and living not spectating. You are the reason I made it this far. Thanks Papaw. I will always love you. Angie

It was my pleasure to work for Jim at Beloit and to share good times with him. I am saddened that he is no longer with us. I had a great respect for Jim and his abilities.
