JJ AND I JUST GOT BACK FROM VACATION AND CAROL MAINO LEFT ME A MESAGE. I FEEL SO TERRIBLE NOT TO HAVE BEEN WITH YOU DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME. THE LADIES AUXILIARY WERE HONORED TO DO THIS LUNCHEON FOR NEAL. WHAT A LOSS! WHEN I TOLD MICHELLE AND JASON THEY WERE SHOCKED.

What a wonderful legacy your Dad Has left! I was so impressed to read about all his accomplishments and such a wonderful, large family! I believe the Lord would say "well done". We have had our thoughts and prayers with you all this last week or so.

I was sorry to learn about your dad\'s death. Please know that I am thinking of each of you during this difficult time. I remember so fondly growing up with all of you on Vaucluse Road and all the fun times that we shared together as kids. Nancy and I have kept in touch in recent years and have had such a good time getting to know one another all over again. Patty, I am so sorry to learn of the death of your dear father. He and Lessie were such good friends to my mother in all the years she lived in Aiken. And to Lessie, I know you will miss Neal so much. I suspect by now he and my mom are in heaven talking over the many good times you all had together. He will be missed by so many people who loved him and sill love you.

Thanks for your service as part of the "greatest generation," and the tales you shared of China, Tinian, and the Enola Gay. Thanks for memories over drinks on the back porch and at the beach. Your wit, charm, and warm character will be etched in my memory forever. I shall not forget you. Rest in peace, now, Dad.
