Tee Cee,
We are so sorry about Don. He will be missed greatly.
When I think of Don, all I see is his smile. He loved to pick, always had a joke ready. I remember when I first met him, we hit it off immediately. Very fun to be around. It's hard to believe he is gone. But what we have to remember is that he is in heaven...waiting on us!
You know that we love you and we will always be here for you.
You and the family will be in our prayers.

Teresa, and family! Words can't describe what we felt, after hearing about Don.We only knew him for a short while, as he played drums in our christian band Matthew 25.Our only regret is that we didn't get to record a cd with him playing. There was a song we was working on called Dry Bones from the bible scripture Ezekiel 37:1-14.He made those drum sticks sound just like those bones coming back together.Don will always be a part of us.And wherever God takes us,His memory and spirit will be there with us all! Our prayers and tears are with you and your family!

Mandy,
I am so sorry. I can't imagine how much it must hurt to lose a parent. Our lives can change so quickly. It wasn't even a week ago that he was watching you graduate and calling you "Mortisha". I am sure that you made him very proud. I have not been able to get in touch with you but please call me. You have been my best friend since we were eight years old. I could not love you more if you were my sister. If there is anything at all that I can do to make this time any easier please let me know.
Love,
Jennifer

What a pain in ones heart to know Don has left us.We did not see Don much but we did share a lot of time together back in the good ole days of the seventies.Don was a wild and crazy guy,but a good one too.He always had a look of mischief, and,as I recall,a smile on his face.I can't think of anything negative about him.He was an individual unlike any other.Maybe it is true that only the good die young, for he appeared to have a lot of life to live.Hopefully his impact on us all will serve us as a memorial to his life.We all send our love and prayers to all of the Johson family and friends.I'll always remember Don playing the drums at the old house. It really is hard to smile and cry at the same time.May we all remember his smile and shed our tears freely as Don departs for another life.As long as we remember him,he will never be gone.May you ascend to the heavens as fast as our tears flow.We all are thankful for having known you.May you rest eternally in peace. From now on,whenever I hear the thunder of a summer storm,I'll think back over twenty -five years ago and say "Just Don on the drums again". Memories aren't precious until we need them. Now is that time.Farewell and eternal bliss as you cross to the other side.
