I have only just heard of the passing of Mrs. Stiefel Eubanks She as well as her mother taught me English/Grammar in 6th and 8th grades, in the 60's. It was because of the driving force in their manner of instruction that I have achieved the success that I enjoy today. I thought of her often during the years and wished that I had gotten the chance to thank her for her guidance. as well as her mother's May God's grace guide the family during this difficult time.

What a dear heart who will be missed. We sang "He will lift me up like eagle's wings" today at St. John's in memory of Joanne. It was wonderful and I'm sure she heard it.
Condolences to you all and happy memories. ---Flo McElmurray

Aunt Joanne was loved very much by all of our family. To me, she was the finest of teachers. Her "warm sternness" was motivating because you knew she cared and sincerely wanted each person that she touched to succeed.
I will never forget her kindness and support.
Rick de Treville Leila Eubanks' son.

Joanne was a very special lady and had a profound impact on me. Her patience with my impatience as she taught me piano....her gentle but stern approach as a school teacher...and her loving smile as my friend all made me a better person. I will miss her.

Frances,
My deepest condolences are with you
for the loss of your dear sister
Joanne. We all remember her math class in Aiken Junior High and her
wit and superb manner of teaching.
Not being able to be with my friends at times like this is very
depressing since I live so far away.
But my thoughts are there with you and I hope time will heal your loss.
Give my regards to Lewis and I hope to see you all soon.
Sincerely,
Phil Hydrick

Miss Stiefel was a very special lady. She touched a lot of lives in the classroom. She certainly was an inspiration to me. I am happy that I was able to visit her at least once at Trinity, in the building that -- ironically, her father had built and she had taught Aiken Jr. High many years. God bless Joanne Stiefel.

We lived across the street from Joanne in Stiefeltown. I have very fond memories of playing kick the can, going snipe hunting and being a Girl Scout with Joanne. With my brother Lee and Angelle Kenney Wilson, we had some great times.
My sympathy to you and your family,
Ann Brown Freeman
