Leonard will truly be missed. We shared the same birthday, and he never let me forget that. I also met him at Goodfellas. He was a truly nice guy. He loved to shag as all that knew him know. He was never short of a few jokes.

Just moments ago I was saddened to read in the paper that Leonard had passed away. Leonard and I graduated together from Aiken High School in 1973. As high school students, we worked part-time in Aiken\'s first Bi-Lo grocery store. Shortly after high school Leonard took a job with the City of Aiken and was instrumental in putting me in contact with the City where I went to work as a meter reader. Shortly after I started work, Leonard who was also a meter reader, moved on to bigger and better things and become a water treatment plant operator. From there I believe Leonard went to the Savannah River Site to work. I am still with the City after 29 years having held several positions the latest of which is Human Resources Manager. I have enjoyed my years working for the City. Had it not been for Leonard my life could have been substantually different. The prayers of my family are with the Ledford family in this difficult time. My God bless and bring peace to you all.

I worked with Leonard during his tenure as a paramedic with Dupont then WSRC-SRS. Leonard was always so helpful and willing to assist with anything. To know Leonard was to LOVE him, but GOD loved him best. GOD wants the best in his vineyard so now he has taken him from us to be with Him in heaven. I know he\'ll be sadly missed by many but if we keep the faith I\'m sure we\'ll see Leonard again. May God Bless and keep you ALL!!
With Deepest Sympathy,
G. Delores Leonard,RN and the crew that worked wth Leonard at SRS.

I was so sorry to hear about Leonard\'s passing. I just met him a few weeks ago in Aiken with some of my friends in the C.S.R.A. shag club. Leonard seemed to be a wonderful man with lots of friends. I\'m proud to say that I knew him and I know that he will be missed by many. May God bless you.
