To Madalyn, Frosty, Bob, and Dana's entire family. Like many others, words cannot express the sorrow and grief I feel losing a true and loyal friend. I have so many memories and will cherish them forever. Over the years we traveled to many places; we always laughed at some of our experiences during those trips. What a wonderful friend she was to me. Such a strong and loyal supporter to all of us. Dana, I miss you terribly, you will be in my heart forever. Maddie, I love you honey. Betsy

I'm glad I knew and loved Dana Davis. She was kind, loving, warm dedicated, faithful, patient and giving. We know she was a fantastic teacher, passing on her knowledge of English to hundreds of students over the years. But Dana had lessons not only for her students. She has taught all of us about love. She showed us the meaning of redemptive love. She showed us unselfish, boundless, self-sacrificing, perpetually hopeful love. We loved her in return.

My heart is broken. Dana was a dear ,sweet person who loved life and people. Her students benefited from her great passion for teaching and her genuine love and concern for them. She was one of the best, and the profession has lost a very dedicated and wonderful teacher. I know she will be greatly missed by her students and colleagues. Although, we did not see each other very often, Dana will always remain in my heart and memories as a cherished part of my youth. I know my friend is at peace in the arms of Jesus, and I pray that her family will be blessed with that same peace and comfort. I am filled with such sadness...beyond what I can ever express. To her dear family, may God's love and strength surround you in this most difficult of times, and may your wonderful memories of Dana bring you a sense of comfort and peace. God bless.

Ms. Davis was a wonderful woman. She was a teacher at my school, and i have missed her so much. I didn't have her as a teacher, but it is so depressing to have someone that you loved here one day, and then gone the next. Our school has tried very hard to remember the good things about Ms. Davis, and think that she is in a much better place. This helps some people calm their nerves, but for others it just makes them even more upset. The greif and pain will never end. I do know that Ms. Davis will always be in mine and everyone elses hearts forever.
I LOVE YOU MS. DAVIS!!
GOD BLESS YOU!!

For Dana D
Being the little sister of one of your many friends, you called me your little sister too! We had a brother named Dana, so we called you Dana D. You gave me piggy back rides and bought me Root Beer Floats at the A&W Root Beer stand or french fries at the Snow Cap. I was the tag-a-long bratty little sister, but you loved me anyway.
The night before I had my first child, you talked to me for hours, comforting my fears and making me laugh. You were always able to make people laugh and your laughter was infectious.
Recently, we ran into each other in the store and you hugged me and said "How in the world are you, little sis?" We chatted a few minutes, but you had to get home to grade papers... ever the good teacher.
I will miss you tremendously as will so many others. Rest now and I'll see you again in Heaven.
Forever your little sister,
Wendy Fritts Ray

My deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, & students of Dana Davis. It was my great privilege to have worked with Dana as a colleague & teacher at Schofield Middle School. I remember her infectious smile & dry wit. What a pleasure it was to know her. Dana epitomized what it is to be an excellent teacher. She touched all our lives with love and kindness. But most of all she made a difference to her students and that is her special legacy to us all! â?? Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.â?

Words cannot begin to express the sadness one feels at a time like this. But I pray that God will wrap His arms around this family and give them all the grace necessary to get through this. Dana and I go back a long way, along with Denise, and we shared so much fun and laughter growing up in the same neighborhoods, walking back and forth to each others homes and even sneaking out when we would all spend the night together. Even though this is such a sad time for all that loved her, she can still make us smile when looking back at who she was, the tremendous impact she not only made as our friend, but the impact she has made to so many students....Dana, we thank you for that. You will we missed but those of us who know where you are today, having that wonderful fellowship with the Lord, we shall see you again my friend. God Bless this family, my prayers to you always.

I can remember her talking to me just a few days ago. I told her I was not going to be there on Friday. She smiled and says, "I bet you are already done with the essay." It devastated me Friday afternoon coming back from the Eco-Meet when I heard the news. I will never forget her smile or memories she left me with. My class was always willing to help her. I remember when she lost her ring. My class spent the entire class period looking for it. We never found it but we kept asking if she had found it. We cared about her and she cared about us. I will deeply miss her. It will be very different without seeing her at her desk.

I have known Dana since I was 5 years old. She and my sister used to be inseparable. She and I became friends later in life when our children were small. Life is really too short. God's love and prayers upon Dana and her family.

About Ms. Davis: Teachers as well as a friend are a rare treasure. May everyone remember you on how your life brought reflections of the kindness you had shown to others. I am so proud Ms. Davis told me at the end of my 7th grade year, I had turned into a wonderful young man. I really learned alot from Ms.Davis about English and if you missed out I am sorry. Don't worry Mrs. Jenkins is a wonderful English teacher and friend as well. I know Ms. Davis will be looking down on Mrs. Jenkins and saying daily "YOU GO SALLY", how fortunate SMS could have been to have the wonderful teachers, for the students to learn their English/Lit from. SOMETIMES SIMPLE WORDS SAY IT BEST. THANK YOU MS. DAVIS FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS. We know we will see you one day on the other side. TO THE FAMILY: Keep looking up, keep you eyes focused on the Lord. Everytime you think of Ms. Davis, know she is at peace. Keep the faith in the Lord and he will walk with you always. Live your live well and know one day you will see her again. Always say to yourself, AN ear to listen, A hand to hold, A heart to share, A friend who cares and don't hesitate to call on the Lord, he's ALWAYS there. When you heart is empty, filling it with happy memeories can help you find your smile and hers. Know we all are special knowing that Ms. Davis was a special part of our memories! An ear to listen, A hand to hold, A heart to share, A friend who cared! I know it will ligthen your burden to know God is always in your corner at a time like this and always. I hope your hearts feel as great as mine, knowing Ms. Davis is with her saviour! AND WE WILL SEE HER AGAIN! WHAT A WONDERFUL TOUGHT! GOD BLESS YOU, HER FAMILY, FRIENDS, CO-WORKERS, AND THE YOUTHS LIFES SHE TOUCHED, DAILY AS WELL.
