A Mass of Christian Burial for David Edward Kaplan will be celebrated Monday, June 20, 2005 at 10 AM at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken. Pallbearers will be: Alan Norman, Brian Norman, Charles Kaplan, Marsh McCall, Albert Warburton, Charles Rappold, and Ben Watkins. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Aiken. A Christian Wake Service will be held Sunday, June 19, 2005 at 6 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken. The family will receive friends following the wake service until 8 PM. David, 20, of Aiken, began his eternal walk with God on Monday afternoon, June 13, 2005. Born in Knoxville, TN, a son of Michael Egan and Mary Rappold Kaplan, David was currently a sophomore at Clemson University, where he was a Palmetto Scholar. A resident of Aiken since 1986, David was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, a 2003 graduate of Aiken High School and an Eagle Scout. He had achieved a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing the guitar and piano.
