Dear Mrs. Pope and Family, I just learned of Mr. Pope\'s death today when I viewed his obituary while viewing today\'s paper. I\'m sorry I didn\'t know about it earlier. Mr. Pope was a good man. He\'s in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have a lot of great memories of Mr. Pope from my association with Foreman Memorial Baptist. What I recall the most was that Mr. Pope knew what he stood for and was firm in his beliefs and principles. These are traits that this country needs more of today. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. May you find peace in the sweet mercy of Jesus Christ.
