AIKEN, SC- HAROLD "HAL" IRVIN MUMA passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at the age of 88.
Born February 28, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Hal was a son of the late James and Elizabeth Borkowski Muma. Hal enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and served his country during WWII. When Hal left the Navy he became a carpenter, a job he held for 40 plus years. Hal was an avid horseshoe player garnering many trophies and awards. Additionally, he loved his Green Bay Packers; He never missed a game on the TV. Hal also enjoyed the Milwaukee Brewers attending many games.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Betty Gene Muma; two sons, Scott (Vicky) Muma, of Aiken, SC and Todd (Tom Mullen) Muma, of Germantown, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Renee (Drew) Peterson, San Diego, CA and Tyler Muma, Lexington Park, Maryland; three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Emmalyn, and Mckenzie Peterson; a sister, Rose Janusz, Racine, WI; a brother, Jerry (Anna) Muma, Friendswood, TX; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Muma was preceded in death by a son, Mark Muma and a brother, James Muma.
A celebration of life will be held this Sunday, February 15, 2015 from 4 until 7 PM at Woodside Plantation Country Club, 1000 Woodside Plantation Dr., Aiken, SC 29803.
