We were next door neighbors of Hal & Betty for several years and could not ask for finer
people than they. Hal was a gentleman and an accomplished "finish" carpenter who helped to remodel maple cabinets to accomodate a dishwasher for our kitchen. Betty is one who shows up at your door with a treat just to be neighborly. The Muma's were horseshoes enthusiasts and could often be seen competing in their backyard pit set-up. But mostly these are real salt-of-the-earth people that befriended a (then) young married couple back in the late 1970's who won't ever forget their kindnesses.

Scott, Vicky, Todd and Betty-- I have many fond memories of spending time as a kid at the Muma home in Brookfield, WI. Both Betty and Hal always made me feel welcome and treated me very well. Hal was always very supportive of Scott and I with our baseball years, playing softball and bowling. I enjoyed visiting with them when I would come to play golf with Scott in Aiken.
