My "other" family,
Words cannot express how sorry I am to hear about your loss. Mr. B was like a dad to me. He treated me like a son and I felt loved. You all became my other family, and I still consider you as such. Unfortunately I know the pain you are going through, lost my step dad and mother to cancer in the past 2 years, and now Mr. B, another father figure in my life. I pray for you all, and I miss you as well. I am sorry I could not be there for support.

Sandy, Stephanie, Jessica & Sarah,
Aiken has lost a unique individual, one who truly made a difference in the lives of so many people. Dennis did not talk about what could or should be done, he became involved. He gave so much of himself to the community, its citizens but especially to the youth. Dennis carried himself with dignity and quite strength in all aspects of his life. I have been truly blessed by having known Dennis. I pray that as the days past, you will find comfort in those memories you hold dear of hiim. I know the saints in heaven are having a wonderful time with Dennis and he will always be with you.

Dear Sandy, Stephanie, Jessica and Sarah,
We send you our love and heartfelt condolences. May God comfort you at this time. We are going to greatly miss our cousin Denny. It was a blessing that we got to be with him and you at the Bartholomew reunion this past July. Though his physical presence will be sorely missed at future family gatherings, his spirit will be there in our hearts. Of course, we look forward to being with you at our future reunions. You remain a vital and important branch of the Bartholomew family tree.
Sincerely,
The Families of Bob, Chuck, Sam, Tim and Jeff

Dennis was an extrordinary man. He was a leader and always professional in everything he did. He also had his fun side. He handled his cancer with dignity and a quiet strength. I hope the memories of him carry over for the rest of your life. He will be missed by people of all walks of life. You were lucky in that you had the chance to say what you wanted to say to him, however hard it was to do, before he died. Not many people get that chance.
May God help you and your family through this period of grief. God's kingdom is richer for having Dennis with him.
Love, Diane Meyers

Sandy, May God always keep you and your family in his hand during this time of sorrow. Though I knew him only a short time, Dennis was a very special person to me and I will always remember his hard work and devotion to the Relay program. It was only second to his love of his family. He will be truly missed but a part of him will always remain in our hearts. God bless you and yours.
