A memorial service for Brett Satcher was held Thursday, January 17, 2002 in the Historic Downtown Chapel of George Funeral Homes, Inc., 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Reverend Charles Wilson officiated. Honorary pallbearers were close friends, Alton Abear, Richard Zimmerman, Wade Miller, Ron Evans, and Ashley Claxton. His wish to be cremated was honored by his family. Brett, 32, of Graniteville, SC, son of the late Don Satcher and Patricia Couch Williams, Lake Wylie, SC, died suddenly, Monday, morning, January 14, 2002 at his residence after a long and courageous battle with diabetes.
Born in Aiken, SC, he had lived in North Carolina for many years before coming to Graniteville, SC, in 1992. At the time of his death he was employed at Abear Paint and Body Shop and had formerly been employed by Sunset Memory Gardens, Aiken Memorial Gardens, and Southlawn Cemetery. A simple person, Brett, enjoyed the simple things in life such as, NASCAR, Sports, and most importantly being with his friends and family.
In addition to his mother, Pat, of Lake Wylie, SC, brothers, Chesley Satcher, Savannah, GA, Henry W. ?Treye? Sharpe, III, Graniteville, SC, and Ron G. Williams, Jr., Bradenton, FL; sister, Corey Satcher, Langley, SC; two nephews, one niece, and grandfather, Gene Satcher, Graniteville, SC, survive Brett.
