AIKEN, SC— Julia "Judy" Ann Gilbert, age 65, entered into rest Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Aiken Regional Medical Center. Judy was born October 25, 1952 in Greenwood, SC to Opal Thompson and the late James Theodore Thompson. She was a life-long area resident and loved her family and son dearly. In addition to her father, Judy was preceded in death by an infant sister, Connie Thompson. She is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Gilbert; her mother, Opal Thompson, Aiken, SC; a son, Jeremy Ryan Gilbert (April), Columbia, SC; a sister, Patricia Arthurs (Mike), Aiken, SC; a brother, Greg Thompson (Lynn), Aiken, SC; three nephews; and one niece. Friends may call this Tuesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at George Funeral Home in downtown Aiken. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the George Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
