Funeral services for Mr. Jon Brock will take place on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church, New Ellenton. Pallbearers will be Joseph Cannella, Eric Crosby, Ricky Cannella, Daniel Cannella, Jeremy Crosby and Kraig Holdman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1pm until the time of the service. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken, is assisting the Brock family.
Jon, 36, of New Ellenton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his residence after a long illness.
A son of Rick Crosby and Jimsie Brock Crosby, he was born Augusta, GA and had lived in New Ellenton his entire life. A welder by trade, Jon was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was a Master Mason at Aiken Lodge #156. Jon was outgoing and loved to shoot pool, enjoy Gamecock sports, collect knives and sing. He was a proud father and a friend to all.
Jon was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Wallace & Thelma Brock and his paternal grandfathers, George Cannella and Nixon Crosby.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by three daughters, Olivia Grace Brock, Savannah Rose Brock and Ryleigh Hope Brock, all of McMinnville, TN; a son, Sean Ashton Brock, McMinnville, TN; four brothers, Joseph Cannella (Christina), Port Orchard, WA, Eric Crosby (Rachel), Pinehurst, NC, Daniel Cannella (Lorrena), Aiken, SC and Jeremy Crosby (Tara), Coral Gables, FL; his paternal Grandmother, Dorothy Cannella, Columbia, SC and the love of his life, Elizabeth Paradise, Aiken.
