Funeral Services for Mr. William Zedic Braswell, Jr. will be held on Sunday August 22, 2004 at 2pm at Corinth Baptist Church, New Ellenton with Rev. Brancie Stephens and Rev. Daniel Braswell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 6-8pm at George Funeral Homes Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd. Aiken. Mr. Braswell?s casket will be placed in church on Sunday at 1pm. Memorial donations may be directed to the Corinth Baptist Church Building Fund 805 Main St. South, New Ellenton, SC 29831. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Laurie Gallagher, Jason Braswell, Daniel Braswell, Ruth Braswell, John Mark Braswell, Staci Stowell, Rebekah Thomas, Joseph Thomas, & Ashley Stowell. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Senior Men?s Class at Corinth Baptist Church. Mr. Braswell, 75, of New Ellenton, died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at his residence. The son of the late William Z. Sr. and Ruth Simpkins Braswell, he was born in DeKalb County, GA and had lived in College Park, GA before moving to New Ellenton in 1953. He retired in 1989 as an Electrical & Instrumentation E & I supervisor with DuPont at the Savannah River Site where he had worked for 35 years. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church where he was a former Chairman of the Deacons and a member of the Building Committee for the current church. He was a Sunday School teacher for 45 years. Mr. Braswell is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Margaret Raines Braswell, two sons; Tommy Pam Braswell, New Ellenton and Kenneth Sheila Braswell, Alexandria, VA, two daughters; Deborah Tim Thomas, Aiken and Trudy Mike Stowell, New Ellenton, a sister; Polly Landress, Loganville, GA, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
