A Funeral Mass for Loretta Anne Kelly will be celebrated on Friday May 23, 2008, 10:00 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken. Interment will follow at 4pm at Florence Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, Florence SC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312 would be appreciated. Friends may visit at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW Aiken on Thursday from 6-8 pm with a prayer service at 6:30. Mrs. Kelly, 78, of Aiken died Monday May 19, 2008 at her residence. The daughter of the late William and Alberta Wellein Leibold, she was born in Maybee, MI and had lived in Florence, SC before moving to Aiken in 2002. She attended the Dundee High School, Dundee, MI and St. Vincent's Nursing School in Toledo, OH. She was a registered nurse. Mrs. Kelly was a longtime communicant of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Florence, SC, and in 2002 she joined St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelly was predeceased by her husband, Paul Merlin Kelly who died in 1992; a sister, Mary Lou Rittinger and a brother-in-law, Robert Davis. She is survived by her four children; Kathleen Bryan Shivers, Leesburg IN, Karen Kelly, Aiken, Kevin Rose Kelly, Turbeville, SC, and Kenneth Lucy Kelly, Greer, SC. She is also survived by two sisters, Amanda Davis, Anita Syfert, two brothers-in-law, David Rittinger, Jerry Syfert, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
