I have just received an email about Miss Cato. I had not seen her in many years, but she is one of my fondest memories of AHS, both as one of her students in 1960 and later as a faculty colleague and confidante for my first years of teaching. She certainly is now in a parthenon of educators along with Willis, Bobo. Butler, Gunter, Wheat, and others.

My prayers go out to Margaret's family. Ms. Cato was my Typing teacher at Aiken HS and she was EXCELLENT. That was probably the most useful course I ever took as I have retained those skills and used them ever since -- especially with the world of computers. She even worked for my father briefly at the Savannah River Plant prior to teaching at AHS. This great woman and wonderful educator will be missed by all the people that she knew and served over the years.
