Graveside services for Mrs. Nannie Richardson Payton, will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 1pm at Joiner Family Cemetery, 2355 Piper Road, Aiken, with Pastor Timothy Fulmer officiating. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm tonight at George Funeral Home and Cremation Center. 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken. The family will also have a gathering after the service at the residence of Larissa Kelly. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice. Mrs. Payton, 88, of Aiken, died Sunday, August 20, 2006 at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center. Daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha Jordan Richardson, she was born and raised in Aiken. Mrs. Payton was an avid reader, especially the Bible, seamstress, poem writer, and a homemaker. In addition to her parents Mrs. Payton was predeceased by her husband Homer Rodell Payton, brothers, Joe Richardson, Idell Richardson, Lonnie Richardson, Austin Richardson, Woodrow Richardson, Heyward Richardson, and a sister, Lillie Richardson. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Jr. Fulmer, Wagener, Rosemary Jesse Joiner, Aiken; sons, Robert Joyce Payton, Wagener, David Chris Payton, Aiken, Larry Patricia Payton, Aiken; sister, Azalee O?rouke, Los Angeles, CA; seventeen grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren, and fifteen great great grandchildren
