Augusta, GA---Marian S. Bonner ,born August 26, 1907, retired United States Army Sargeant, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at Georgia War Veterans Home, Augusta, GA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 2PM at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, Aiken, SC with Father Howard Hess officiating. The United States Army will provide Military Honors following the memorial service. Mrs. Bonner, a native of Carrollton, IA, was a retired secretary, a homemaker, and a member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Augusta. From 1943 through 1945, she served in the United States Army during WWII, earning the rank of Sargeant. She had made the Augusta area her home for 23 years. Marian lived her life for her husband, her daughter and family. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Bonner, the daughter of the Late James Shaw and Lucy Wilkinson Shaw. Beloved mother of Jacqueline Bonner, Augusta, dear grandmother of Katherine Miller, Augusta, fond aunt of Pamela Padgett, North Augusta, SC special aunt to four great nieces, Kourtney Ballard, San Diego, CA, Bonner Bossio, Atlanta, GA, Heather Raybould, Marie Raybould both of North Augusta, SC, two nephews Samuel Raybould, North Augusta, SC Rickey Bossio, Atlanta, GA, two great great nieces, Chanel Bossio, Atlanta, GA, Amalia Raybould, North Augusta, SC and one great great nephew, Mathew Bossio, Atlanta, GA.
