Obituary of William Vincent Minnick

A Requiem Mass for Mr. William Vincent Minnick, will be celebrated at 2 pm on Friday, December 20, 2013 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, 6-8 pm with a Vigil Service at 6:30 pm, at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER.
Mr. Minnick, 82, of Aiken, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at his home following an illness.
A son of the late Joseph Adam & Mary Mathias Minnick, he was born in Springboro, PA. He was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, and was the longest active member, with 61 years. He was a youth baseball coach, a cotillion member, Heart Fund member, Cancer Society of American Friends and a member of Midland Valley. Mr. Minnick was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Monsignor George Lewis Smith Council 3684 and Assembly 1074. He was a retired engineer with SRS. Mr. Minnick was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Mrs. Betty Hall Minnick.
Survivors include: sons, Michael Minnick (Anne) of Belva, W. Virginia and Brian Minnick (Amy) of Smyrna, Georgia; sisters, Teresa Johnson (Carl) of PA and Anna-Marie Minnick of Aiken; brothers, Ed Minnick of Texas and John Minnick (Wilma) of Florida; 11 grandchildren, Daniel Minnick (Amy), Jonathan Minnick, Sarah, Rebecca, Miriam Nathaniel, Andrew, Grace, Bethany, Tyler and Avery Minnick and one great-grandchild, Scott Minnick.
