Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Isabella Esposito Cavalcante will be celebrated Thursday, July 14, 2005 at 10 AM at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken, SC. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. The family will remain at the funeral home following the wake service until 9 PM to receive friends. Mrs. Cavalcante, 76, of Aiken, SC, died, Tuesday, morning, July 12, 2005 at her home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie Puterio Esposito, she had lived on Lindenhurst, Long Island, NY, before coming to Aiken, SC, in 1976. She was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church where she participated in Perpetual Adoration and had been a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Cavalcante loved to cook and was well known for her talents in the kitchen. She is survived by a son, Victor Cavalcante, Beech Island, SC; daughters, Laura Jarvi, Aiken, SC, Joanna Cavalcante, Windsor, SC, and Toniann Buschow, Winnabow, NC; sister, Dolores Fulmer, Aiken, SC; brothers, Donald Esposito, Tucson, AZ and Robert Esposito, Aiken, SC; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her husband of forty-seven years, Vito Cavalcante, preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 E. 33rd St. Suite 1100 New York, NY 10016
