Obituary of Jessie Lee Widener

Funeral services for Jessie Lee Widener, 84, of Aiken, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at Green Pond Baptist Church.  Officiating will be Pastor Jonathan Lowe.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. prior to the services at the church.

Mrs. Widener, widow of Tommy Widener, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018.  Born in Salley, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Jessie and Epsie Kitchens Eubanks.  She was a lifetime area resident and a member of Green Pond Baptist Church.  Mrs. Widener enjoyed cross stitch, crocheting, walking, riding bikes with friends, vacationing in Hilton Head, Shopping at Belk’s, flowering, gardening and cooking.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Randy and Richard Widener.

Surviving are her daughter, Pam Jenkins (Daniel) of Aiken; a son, Rhett Widener (Lace) of Jackson; grandchildren, Brooke Gunter, Whitney Ray, Dana Ford, Dailyn Widener, Aynslee Widener, Brooklyn Widener and Emersyn Widener; a great-grandchild, Hayden Ford and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Widener of New Ellenton.
