Obituary of Albert Charles Daniel

Please share a memory of Albert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
March 27, 2007, Albert Charles Daniel departed this world and entered into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ. Al knew that this would not be the end but a new beginning of his life with peace and comfort from his Heavenly Father. Al leaves behind his wife, Barbara Jean Daniel, who he has been devoted to and loved for forty eight years, his daughter, Deborah Madden and son-in-law, Brian Madden, his two grandsons, Zach and Max madden, who were his pride and joy. He is survived also by his brother-in-laws, Walter Walthall, Charlie and Betty Walthall, both of MD, sister-in-law, Betty King of MD, and Stanley Lorig, TX. As well as many nieces and nephews. Al was born March 17, 1927 in Washington, DC along with his twin sister Alice. Their parents were Flemon and Bessie Daniel of Washing, DC. Al was the youngest twin of five siblings, all of whom have preceded him in death. He served in the US Navy for five years during World War II and worked for the United States Federal Government for thirty five years. He retired in 1983 from the Defense Mapping Agency. Al and Jean retired to Aiken in 1985. Al enjoyed golf. He was a member of Midland Valley Golf Course. But his greatest pleasure was watching his grandson's play the sports they loved. Al and Jean are honored members of Town Creek Baptist Church. The genuine devotion of concern for Al and his family during his illness has been overwhelming, as well as the support and prayers lifted up by so many friends in the community. Pallbearers will be, Alan Hay, Bruce Ryder, Jerry Hawkins, Joe Smith, Ronny Holtzchaw, and Duane Strother. Honorary pallbearers will be his Town Creek family and the Allen Hay's Sunday School Class. A funeral service to celebrate his new life will be Friday, March 30, 2007 at 2:00pm at Town Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Willis and Rev. Eddie Grant officiating. This will be a time to honor Al with words and songs that conveyed his true joy and love for the life he shared with us. Family will receive friends immediately after the service in the welcome center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Al's name to Town Creek Baptist Church, 250 Town Creek Road, Aiken, SC, 29803.
