Funeral services for Mr. Michael Patrick Posivach will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at 2 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Phillip Lee officiating. Entombment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 6, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Michael, 58, of Aiken, SC, and formerly of Norfolk, VA, husband of Mrs. Linda Buffkin Posivach, died Sunday, morning, January 4, 2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken, SC. Born in Stroudsburg, PA, a son of the late Louis Eugene Posivach and Christine McKee Posivach, Norfolk, VA, he had been a resident of Aiken, SC, for the last ten years. Michael was a United States Army Veteran. He mostly recently retired from S.R.S. as a telephone technician and had also retired from Bell Atlantic. In addition to his wife of twenty years, Linda Buffkin Posivach and his mother, Christine McKee Posivach, a sister, Stephanie Posivach Dukes, Norfolk, VA, survive. A sister, Kathleen Posivach, preceded him in death.
