AIKEN, S.C. - Mrs. Mary Frances Rowland Boyce, age 89, of Aiken, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016. Mrs. Boyce was born in Clinton, SC to the late James Mason Rowland and Addie Olene Thomas Rowland. She moved to Aiken in 1954 and was a member of The First Baptist Church, and Houndslake Country Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert L. Boyce Jr. Mrs. Boyce is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Ann B. Spickerman, Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Emily (Axel) Fiksman, Jessica Morrison, Jake (Maricela) Spickerman, Anne (John) Dietz; six great grandchildren, Hannah and Michaela Morrison, Mason and Rowan Fiksman, Isabel Spickerman, Gettings Dietz; her very good friend, Janey Gantt; and all her friends at Cumberland Village. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Cumberland Village. Private funeral services will be held in Beaufort National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Aiken County Library, 314 Chesterfield St. S., Aiken, SC 29801.
