Funeral Services for Lieutenant Colonel Robert R. Johnson (USAF, ret.), will be held at 10 AM Monday, August 18, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Aiken SC, with the Reverend Robert T. Byrne officiating. Interment will be at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery following the service. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken SC is assisting the family. Mr. Johnson, 83, widower of Barbara Reed Johnson, of Aiken Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2014, at his home. Born in Sioux Falls, SD, he was a son of the late Raymond Johnson and Pearl McQueen Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a United States Air Force Veteran, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Bob loved to fly, and was a pilot for American Airlines for over 25 years. He was also a past President of the Lions Club in MN, and an active member of the local chapter in Aiken. Mr. Johnson is survived by four sons; Gary Johnson, (Betsy) of Clermont, FL, David Johnson, of Wheaton, IL, Steven Johnson (Ann) of St. Michael, MN, and Glenn Johnson (Linda), of Mesa AZ. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
