BATESBURG, SC - Ricky Louie Summer, Jr., age 37, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. Ricky was born May 15, 1979 in Aiken, SC and had lived in Aiken, Anderson, and for the past 6 years lived his dream of living on the lake at Lake Murray, SC. He was employed with International Paper as an Electrical Maintenance Technician. Ricky loved his family more than anything. Next to his love for his family came his love for the Georgia Bulldogs, the lake, Fords, racing, music, boating, and a good bonfire. He enjoyed having a good time with his friends and family. Ricky is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, Candy Bell Summer; a daughter, Ashton Summer; a son, Dylan Summer; his father, Ricky Louie Summer (Linda), Batesburg, SC; his mother, Jean Summer Lott, Aiken, SC; two sisters, Marla Summer Myers (Dave) and Jennifer Summer Lybrand (Brian), all of Aiken, SC; a brother, Allen Ritter (Lisa), Aiken, SC; his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Joanne Summer, Graniteville, SC; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a great-niece. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Morse William (Bill) Poston and Jean F. Poston. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 31, 2016 beginning at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday in the George Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to First Citizens Bank for a fund that is being established for his two children.
